  1. Well I've never seen one of these or if I did wasn't aware of it. Gorgeous pictures! These should come up when someone googles Hummingbird Moth.

  3. You did an excellent job of capturing these little whipper snappers. I know how hard they are to catch on camera.
There is only one place I have seen these and it is by Thousand Islands on the Canada side, not far from the Ivylee Bridge between Canada and USA.
I only seen 2 of them there this summer but did do a blog on WLS either last year of the year before. I had never seen them before, up until then. They are awesome to watch and remind me so much of the hummingbirds because of how they fly and flutter their wings and dart around. They are facinating to watch and extremely hard to catch with the camera.
Thankyou for sharing these . You did a great job, Jodi.
I will look through my pictures and post a couple of my pics of them also, at some point.
Take care and have a nice weekend Jodi.
    Dianne :)

  5. Hi Jodi, I came by for another look at your hummingbird moths. I went to Thousand Islands a couple of weeks ago and spotted the Snowberry Clearwing Hummingbird Moths were there, where I spotted them 2yrs.ago. There are certain flowers and plants they really like. Anyway, they are different in color than the ones you saw and captured. To my understanding there are 3 or 4 different kinds of Hummingbird Moths. If you are interested stop by my blog. I just put a couple pics of them in my new post.
Have a great week Jodi. :) Dianne

  7. We have the same type around our place. But they are mostly sitting around somewhere. I would love to get some photos of them, but they look so much nicer in flight. You have made them look so beautiful.
